An exceptional monument in the heart of Perpignan

Located in the hypercentre of Perpignan, the Dominican Church is a unique place steeped in history, classified as a Historic Monument.

Built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, this former deconsecrated church embodies all the sobriety and majesty of southern Gothic.

With its single unvaulted nave, its side chapels nestled between the buttresses and its spectacular volumes, it offers a grandiose setting for all types of events.

Founded in 1245, the Church of the Dominicans has grown over the centuries. It includes a remarkable chapter house with a square plan that becomes octagonal in height thanks to an ingenious system of squinches, as well as two cloisters. The first cloister, still visible today, preserves precious medieval capitals, witnesses of its rich past.

Redesigned after the fire of 1558, then restored in the sixteenth, seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, the architectural ensemble combines authenticity and character.

A large-scale event venue

With a maximum capacity of 1,000 people, the Dominican Church gives a spectacular dimension to your professional or private events. Exhibitions, concerts, festivals, gala evenings, weddings or cultural events: this emblematic site hosts major events every year, such as photographic exhibitions, sacred music festivals or artistic events.

Modern and functional equipment

While the monument impresses with its historical character, it also meets contemporary logistical requirements. The site has 10 toilets, some of which are accessible to people with reduced mobility, as well as fully equipped professional kitchens: refrigerators, freezers, cold rooms, ovens, reheating areas, washing machine and shower.

An independent catering access, located at the back of the building, allows direct arrival by vehicle, separate from the entrance of the guests, guaranteeing fluidity and discretion in the organization.
